Welcome to the
INDEPENDENT SCHOOLS OF SOUTH FLORIDA (ISSF)
ISSF's Mission is to share information between Administrators of Independent Schools in South Florida, to promote the welfare of nonpublic schools before the public, to reward students and provide them with opportunities for educational competitions, to monitor education legislation and to provide opportunities for continuing education and Teacher Certification to its member schools' Faculty and Administrators.
All ISSF Member schools nominated their best all-around students to receive the coveted "STAR AWARD". This is a very prestigious award that recognizes each student's achievements in numerous areas, which may include academics, community service, citizenship, fine arts, athletics, effort, dedication, and good character. The Star Award recipients are an example for others to follow. It is our honor to recognize all the wonderful students for their efforts and achievements.

ISSF offers numerous programs for professional development. These may include a Writing Institute and other programs of educational interest for Administration and Faculty Professional Development.
The two General Meetings each year are held at various locations throughout our community. During these meetings, Speaker presentations are followed by private tours of the venue. These visits provide Administrators with knowledge of the venue for possible student field trips.
Various seminars are offered annually to Administrators and Teachers from ISSF Member Schools. These seminars take place at MIAMI COUNTRY DAY SCHOOL. They feature outstanding presenters in their field. The Leadership Series offers opportunities for advanced professional learning and/or in-service credit for Administrators and Teachers.
